Chunky Hamburger Soup

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground beef, browned
2 onions, chopped
1 clove garlic
1 large can tomatoes
4 sliced carrots
2 celery tops, chopped
1 1⁄2 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon salt
8 cups water
1 tablespoon A-1 steak sauce
1⁄2 cup catsup (optional)
6 beef bouillon cubes
4 potatoes or 1⁄2 cup barley

Directions

Simmer all ingredients together until vegetables are tender.
