Angelica's Fresh Peach Pie


6 Large Peaches (I use a little more)

2-3 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c peach puree(put in blender-make from sliced peaches)
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c water
1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp almond extract

3 oz cream chess softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
deep dish pie crust


Bake Pie crust and let cool. peel and slice peaches. Make a glaze with cornstarch, peach puree, sugar, water, lemon juice and almond extract cook on md heat until it thickens. Take off heat and set aside. Blend cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl. Spread cream cheese mixture on pie crust. Pour sliced peaches in shell. pour peach glaze on top.
Serve with ice cream or cool whip.
