Fresh Strawberry Pie


2 12 oz. baskets of fresh strawberries
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
few drops red coloring


Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in water gradually to make smooth mixture. Cook slowly stirring constantly until thickened. Add salt and coloring. Cool. Add sliced berries and pour into baked shell. Chill.
