Lemon Bars


2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cubes butter

Combine all ingredients to form bottom layer crust. Pat into 9x12 baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350.

4 eggs
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup lemon juice
grated lemon rind (optional)


Beat eggs; combine with sugar, flour, baking powder and lemon juice. Pour over baked crust. Bake another 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares when cool.
