Dutch Baby


3T butter
1/2c flour
3T sugar
1/2t salt
3 large eggs
1/2c milk warm
1/2t vanilla
1/4t nutmeg
Powdered sugar for topping


Melt butter in 8-10 inch cast iron skillet in over set 375 deg. In blender purée 1/2c flour, sugar, salt, eggs, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and 1/2 of melted butter For 40 sec or until well blended. Pour into hot skillet. Bake 20-25 min. Dust with powdered sugar. And serve with syrup and fruit. In Germany lemon zest is often added to the batter.
