Holiday Eggnog
Ingredients
Mix in large pan:
1/2 gal. Milk
1 c sugar
4 sticks cinnamon
2 dozen cloves in cheesecloth
pinch salt
Cook until almost boiling, then stir in:
8 or 9 egg yolks, beaten slightly and mixed with:
1/2 c hot milk
3 T cornstarch
Directions
Keep stirring with wooden spoon until it thickens. Let cool and sprinkle nutmeg on top. Serve hot or cold.
