Favorite Casserole (Large Shell Ground Beef Casserole)


1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 quart tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 1⁄2 cups dry pasta cooked and drained


Get pasta boiling. Brown ground beef. Add onion and garlic, stir until soft. Add rest of ingredients. Cook all ingredients together until much of liquid from tomatoes is cooked off. Add additional seasoning to taste. Add cooked pasta Lower heat and add grated or thinly sliced cheese (jack, cheddar, or velveeta) and melt, but don’t cook or cheese will become tough.
