Herbed Tomato-Cheese Bread


Stir 2/3 cup milk into 2 cups Bisquick mix. Pat into 9x13 pyrex pushing dough up sides to form shallow rim. Arrange 3 peeled and slice (1/4” thick) tomatoes over dough.

Sauté 1 medium minced onion in 2 tablespoons butter til tender. Blend with:
3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
pinch of basil (or sage) (or use what is fresh from the garden)


Spoon over tomatoes and sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20-25 minutes at 400. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serves 12.
