Basic Buttermilk Biscuits


3 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp powder
1 tsp soda
4 Tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 1/4 c buttermilk


Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter or food processor until texture is like cornmeal. Mix the eggs and buttermilk, and then mix with dry just until moistened. Drop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet about an inch apart. Bake about 12 minutes at 425 degrees until puffed and browned.
